Greece: 3 beaches among cleanest swimming waters

 

Greece has some of the cleanest and most pristine bathing waters in Europe.

 

The European Environment Agency (EEA) has released data showing that 97.1 percent of Greece's bathing waters are rated "excellent."

 

Those who have swum in the country's pure, quiet, and quiet waters are well aware of this.

In the EU, 83.7 percent of swimming waters are rated “excellent.” Greece is unquestionably above average.

Greece, Cyprus, Malta, Croatia, and Austria are the only EU nations to fulfill more than 95 percent of the European Environmental Agency's bathing water quality requirements, according to the 2020 Bathing Water study.

 

Throughout 2020, the assessment was based on thorough monitoring and water sample testing at 22,276 coastal and inland bathing waters in EU member states.

 

A total of 1,634 swimming locations in Greece were investigated.
