Czechia restricts its COVID-19 rules for unvaccinated foreign travelers

Because Finland, Hungary, and Luxembourg have been placed in the red category, which comprises high-risk nations in terms of the COVID-19 situation, unvaccinated and unrecovered persons will no longer be able to enter the Czech Republic without following necessary quarantine requirements upon arrival.

In addition, according to the Czech Ministry of Health, tourists from the red and dark red categories will be required to submit a negative PCR or antigen test result before entering Central European territory and will be subjected to a 14-day quarantine.

The following countries are currently included in the red category: Bulgaria, Belgium, Ireland, Finland, Luxembourg, Croatia, Slovakia, Hungary, Germany, Austria, and Greece.

Latvia, Romania, Estonia, Lithuania, and Slovenia, on the other hand, have been assigned to the dark red category.

The new entrance criteria, according to the Ministry, will go into effect on October 18 and will affect a number of other EU countries, including Poland and Switzerland, which have also been added to the orange category.

Arrivals from Italy and Madeira, on the other hand, have been added to the safe list, which includes countries that have recently reported low COVID-19 infection rates.

Green and orange-category travelers must provide a test taken no later than the fifth day after their arrival.

Liechtenstein, Malta, Vatican City, the Canary Islands, and Madeira are among the countries in Czechia's green category.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has stated that all visitors to Czechia, regardless of country, must complete an entry registration form.

Furthermore, the Czech Republic's authorities have stated that persons who have been properly vaccinated against COVID-19 with shots approved by the European Medicines Agency are exempt from the strict entrance conditions (Pfizer,AstraZeneca, Moderna and Janssen). In addition, anyone who have been previously infected with Coronavirus and can show that their infection has been gone for at least 30 days before arriving in Czechia are exempt from quarantine.

Furthermore, anyone with an EU Digital COVID-19 Certificate is free from the entry requirements.
