Most of Italy is low COVID-19 risk

As of Monday, almost two-thirds of Italy was classified as a low COVID-19 risk white zone due to enhanced contagion data.

Emilia Romagna, Lombardy, Lazio, Piedmont, and Puglia, as well as the autonomous province of Trento, have become white zones, joining Abruzzo, Liguria, Umbria, Veneto, Molise, Friuli Venezia Giulia.

This implies that, with the exception of the requirement to wear facemasks and maintain physical distance, much of the nation's coronavirus regulations can be relaxed in these areas.

In the government's tiered system of COVID limitations, the remainder of the country is a moderate-risk yellow zone.

Roberto Speranza, the Minister of Health, has stated that he anticipates that 95 percent of the country would be declared a white zone by next week.

According to the health ministry, there have been 1,255 new instances of COVID-19 across Italy in the previous 24 hours, with 63 additional victims.

On Monday, there were 907 new cases and 36 new casualties. 212,112 additional tests had been completed, compared to 79,524 on Monday.

From 1.1 percent to 0.6 percent, the optimism rate has dropped by 0.5 percent.

Intensive care cases have decreased by 32, while hospital admissions have decreased by 132.
