Czechia reopens hotels, restaurants, and Spa

The Czech Republic welcomed travelers from 13 countries this week with the reopening of hotels, restaurants, and spa centers. The only stipulation is that they have had at least one Covid vaccination dose.

As life in the Czech Republic gradually returns to normal, the country is prepared to welcome its first international tourists. While the government remains wary about importing numerous coronavirus mutations, it has loosened travel restrictions for tourists with seven European countries under bilateral agreements.

“As of June 1, we are ready to welcome travelers from Germany, Austria, Poland, Slovakia, Hungary, Slovenia, and Croatia without any limitations if they have gotten at least one dose of the Covid vaccine,” says Health Minister Adam Vojtech.

In addition to the seven countries with which the Czech Republic has signed bilateral agreements, Israel, Australia, Thailand, New Zealand, Singapore, and South Korea have also opened their doors to travelers.

Other nations' tourism is still restricted, and essential travel from these countries is subject to a variety of limitations, including the requirement to fill out an arrival form, submit to an antigen or PCR test, and self-isolate until the results are received.

Tourists from the 13 countries granted permission will be asked to follow the Covid-19 regulations, which include wearing respirators on public transportation and interior areas and following the safety precautions specified in restaurants, hotels, and sports and wellness facilities.
