Ferrari to launch first all-electric model in 2025

Ferrari's first all-electric model will be introduced in 2025, according to John Elkann, the company's president and managing director.

At the AGM, Elkann said “We are starting to conduct our electrification plan in a strongly focused manner. And our understanding and use of these innovations in both motorsport and road cars represents a significant opportunity to introduce new audiences to Ferrari's individuality and passion”.

It would be "what you dream the engineers and designers at Maranello can envision for such a milestone in our culture," according to Elkann.

“We have a tremendous opportunity to introduce Ferrari's elegance and enthusiasm to new audiences through our understanding of these [EV] inventions, both in motor sport and in road cars,” he said.

Elkann also mentioned that the company will "unveil three additional new models in the coming months."

Shareholders approved a balance sheet for 2020 that showed net sales of 3.46 billion euros, down 8.1 percent from the previous year, and EBITDA of 1.143 billion euros, down 10%.
