Greece: Restrictions on international travel extended to March

The Greek Civil Aviation Authority (HCAA) on Sunday expanded the rules and restrictions on all international flights to Greece as part of the Greek government’s efforts to curb the spread of the coronavirus (Covid-19).

For all immigrants from abroad, a 7-day quarantine measure is still implemented, and special restrictions are imposed on flights from the United Kingdom, Albania, North Macedonia and Russia to Greece. According to the latest HCAA Aviation Directive (NOTAMS), the following travel restrictions will remain until midnight on Monday, March 8.

All passengers on international flights to Greece must submit a "Passenger Location Form" (PLF). This rule also applies to Greek citizens and permanent residents of Greece who travel abroad by air (outbound travel). They must fill out the PLF form before leaving Greece and present it at the border checkpoint.

All travelers from abroad must submit a negative Covid-19 test result (PCR) within 72 hours before arriving in Greece, and may also be required to undergo a rapid Covid-19 test upon entry (depending on what is provided on the PLF form Data).

If a traveler is selected for a quick check and he/she is positive for coronavirus, he/she must be isolated for a total of 14 days.
