Spain to introduce "vaccination certificates" to help tourism

Spain will soon be included in the list of European countries, and these countries plan to soon introduce "vaccination certificates" to facilitate travel and help tourism recover from the damage caused by the coronavirus pandemic.

Spain’s Tourism Minister Reyes Maroto announced that the government is working to introduce a “vaccination certificate” that has the same functions as the vaccines supported by Denmark, Greece, Iceland and the European Commission. Chairman Ursula von der Leyen reports.

According to Maroto, the government’s responsibility is not only to “fight the virus, but also to restore and maintain Spain’s leadership in tourism competitiveness.”

She asserted that the government's support for the tourism industry is excellent, and emphasized the importance of "transformation and digitalization" for the tourism industry to remain competitive.
