Portugal at top of world Covid-19 deaths

 

According to data compiled by Oxford Martin School, Portugal has the most confirmed cases per million inhabitants in the past 7 days (1,142 per million inhabitants), which is new Coronavirus infected countries. 

 


Following Portugal, in addition to small territories like Andorra (647) and Montenegro (616), UK (443), Lebanon (441), Estonia (401) and the United States (400) also appeared. 

 

According to the same source, Portugal is also the country with the highest number of deaths per million inhabitants, with 27 deaths per million inhabitants in the past seven days, followed by Slovakia (18.9) and Slovenia (14.9). 

 

Since the beginning of the pandemic, Portugal has 62 cases per million inhabitants (ranking 13th), ranking 24th among countries with the most deaths per million inhabitants.

 


The Portuguese data platform Eyedata also positions Portugal as the country with the highest number of new cases per million inhabitants in seven days (1,366) and the highest number of new deaths per million inhabitants (23).
