EU: Germany plans entry ban for British citizens

 

"The Times" reported on Thursday that according to Germany's proposal to the European Union, European governments will ban all British residents from entering their country and cut off all passenger connections with the United Kingdom. 

 


The British newspaper quoted a draft proposal to freely impose a temporary ban on EU member states, prohibiting the entry of travelers from non-EU countries with virus mutation areas. 

 

The proposal said: “In cases where member states consider it necessary to protect public health, they are free to impose temporary prohibitions on entering and transporting passengers from (non-EU) countries with virus mutations.” The proposal said: “In cases where member states consider it necessary to protect public health, they are free to impose temporary prohibitions on entering and transporting passengers from (non-EU) countries with virus mutations.”

 


In addition, "The Times" quoted diplomatic sources to report that if Britain abandons its plan to establish a "Singapore" on the Thames, the EU is prepared to ease border frictions after Brexit.
